2 Ohio State football players in custody facing rape, kidnapping charges

COLUMBUS — Two Ohio State football players are facing rape charges in Franklin County.

Municipal court records show warrants were issued for the arrest of Amir Riep and Jahsen Wint on Tuesday, and the Franklin County Jail confirmed to our news partner 10TV that Riep and Wint are in custody.

Both are charged with rape and kidnapping.

According to ElevenWarriors.com, which first reported the news and obtained a copy of the police complaint against Riep and Went, the pair forced a female into nonconsensual sexual acts on the night of Feb. 4.

Riep and Wint are both 21-year-old seniors-to-be for the Buckeyes, who are in the midst of winter workouts.

A university spokesman told the Dayton Daily News, “We are aware that two of our students have been arrested and criminally charged. They have been suspended from all activities involving the football program. We will share more information when available.”
