Bryan Day, 31, of Franklin, was originally supposed to go to trial today for charges connected to the deadly crash from April 2023. That didn’t happen because he entered into a plea agreement, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records.
Court documents filed Monday morning show that Day pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated vehicular homicide and one count of reckless homicide.

As part of the plea agreement, Day will be sentenced to 12 months in prison later this month. He’ll also has his license suspended for at least three years.
The charges are connected to a crash that happened in April 2023 near the intersection of E. Dixie Drive and Dryden Road.
Day was going eastbound in the passing lane of E. Dixie Road at a high rate of speed when he crossed the marked lane and hit the back of a 2017 Toyota Camry that was waiting to turn left, according to a West Carrollton Police Department crash report.
The driver of the Toyota, 44-year-old Mark Campbell, was killed in the crash. As News Center 7 previously reported, Campbell was a Ross Township trustee.
The crash reported showed that a blood test found cannabinoids in Day’s system.
Video posted online after the crash appeared to show Day on top of truck shouting things.
Day will be formally sentenced on Feb. 12.
