Man shot in Dayton suffers life-threatening injuries

DAYTON — A 24-year-old man was taken to a hospital after police found him this morning laying next to his silver Chevrolet Impala on West Third and North Hatfield streets.

The victim, identified as Christopher Farmer on a Dayton police report, remains at Miami Valley Hospital.

Dayton Police Sgt. Thomas Schloss confirmed the victim was shot at least once and is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Several bullet holes were seen in the Impala.

No suspects have been named at this time, Schloss said.

Police and medics are assisting a man reportedly shot in Dayton.

Crews were dispatched around 4:30 a.m. to the 4000 block of West Third Street.

Initial reports indicated the shooting occurred at the BP.
