Foul play not suspected after man found dead lying on bike path in Franklin

Foul play is not suspected, according to Franklin police. The deceased is believed to have died from self-inflicted wounds, but the coroner will make a final determination.

Franklin police are investigating after a man was found dead and lying on the bike path near South River Street this morning.

“All crime scenes such as these are investigated as a possible homicide until the coroner makes his official ruling,” Franklin Police said in a statement.

Officers responded the area of the 400 block around 6:30 a.m.

No additional information was released on the investigation.
