News Center 7 previously reported that Dayton police were initially called to a reported shooting in the 400 block of Delaware Avenue just after midnight on Oct. 28.
Officers found a 32-year-old man who had been stabbed, and the department clarified that no one was shot. The man was taken to an area hospital.
Howard was also admitted to the Kushinda Court program, ordered to forfeit the weapon and have no contact with his co-defendants Nathan Harber and Dae’toine Shells.
Harber was found competent to stand trial in January and faces two counts of felonious assault.
Shells pleaded guilty to carrying concealed weapons in January and was granted intervention instead of conviction.
Shells will have to undergo a period of rehabilitation for at least a year, but no more than 5 years.
He will also be expected to enter a drug treatment facility or program, work toward getting his GED, and have no contact with his co-defendants.
News Center 7 will continue to follow this story.
