DAYTON — UPDATE @ 11:02 a.m. (Sept. 4):
The victim in a shooting in the area of James H. McGee Boulevard and West Third Street has died.
Stephen Blackshear, 31, of Dayton died at Miami Valley Hospital today, according to Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger.
INITIAL REPORT:
One man has been taken to a hospital with multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting reported in the area of West Third Street and James H. McGee Boulevard in Dayton Wednesday night.

Dayton Police say the man is at Miami Valley Hospital in grave condition.
Police were dispatched about 10:48 p.m. initially on a report from a caller to 9-1-1 who told police someone was firing a weapon at her. Police were sent to the area of North Main Street and Hillcrest Avenue based on that call.
Minutes later, dispatchers identified the scene of the shooting as West Third and James H. McGee Boulevard.
The suspect vehicle reportedly is a maroon F-150 pickup or a Chevy Avalanche last seen headed north from West Third.
