Teen, mother, and grandmother killed in Columbus house fire

COLUMBUS — A 16-year-old girl, her mother and grandmother were killed in a west Columbus house fire early Friday, according to our news partner 10TV.

The teen was transported to  Nationwide Children's Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The fire started around 3 a.m. on Cherry Creek Parkway North, near Norton Road and Sullivant Avenue.

The teen’s mother and grandmother were taken to area hospitals where they also died.

One person escaped the fire on his own, according to firefighters. The teen's father was taken to the hospital and is reported to be in serious condition.

Family member identities have not been released.
