Vacant house fire in Dayton considered suspicious, officials say

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 5:30 a.m: A vacant house fire that occurred on Deeds Avenue Monday morning is considered suspicious, according to officials.

Crews responded to a fully involved fire at the boarded up house just after 4 a.m. and due to the massive flames, they expect to be on scene for “several hours,” according to the District Fire Chief.

No word on the fire’s start, as the fire remains under investigation.

Officials urge citizens to call the Arson Hotline at 333-TIPS to report tips related to the fire.

Crews continue to battle flames at a house fire on Deeds Avenue.

As of 5 a.m., huge flames continue to billow from the house. It’s unknown if anyone was injured.

The fire was reported around 4:08 a.m. in the 200 block of Deeds Avenue. An investigator has been requested to the scene.
