Vanfossen was taken to an area hospital in critical condition before her passing.

The driver of the Jeep suffered minor injuries and no injuries were reported in the third vehicle.

Family members said a medical condition suffered by the driver of the Jeep might have been the cause of the crash, however that was still under investigation by state troopers.
