Inaugural ‘Big Ten on CBS’ college football schedule announced; Ohio State to kick-off games

CBS Sports announced the schedule for their inaugural “Big Ten on CBS” college football games, starring the Ohio State University.

CBS Sports announced their “Big Ten on CBS” college football broadcast schedule set for 2023 with the full season beginning 2024.

“Big Ten on CBS” is the network’s very first season, showcasing seven select games on-air in various windows in 2023. The full season of traditional marquee coverage is scheduled to begin in the 3:30 p.m. ET window in 2024.

The broadcast will be available to viewers across the country on the CBS Television Network with a live stream on Paramount+.

The Ohio State University is scheduled to play during the opening weekend on Saturday, September 2, at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Ohio State University will be playing against Indiana University.

Northwestern University and Rutgers University are scheduled to play after on Sunday, September 3, at 12 p.m. ET.

The winner of the Big Ten title in each of the two season, the University of Michigan, is scheduled to host and play against University of Nevada, Las Vegas on September 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Pennsylvania State University will face University of Iowa in the Nittany Lions’ annual White Out game on September 23 during primetime .

University of Iowa will then play against University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Friday, November 24 at 12 p.m. ET.

Additionally, CBS will air games on October 28 and November 4 both at 12 p.m. ET. Matchups will be announced on a 12- or 6-day basis.

In addition to the “Big Ten on CBS,” the college football schedule also includes NCAA Southeastern Conference Football games, Mountain West and the Army-Navy game, as well as Air Force at Navy and the Sun Bowl to conclude the season.

CBS Sports Digital will also provide additional college football coverage throughout the season on a variety of platforms, including CBSSports.com, the CBS Sports app, and CBS Sports HQ, the 24/7 streaming sports news service.

College Football Today serves as the Network’s pre-game, halftime, and post-game studio show.
