DAYTON — Heavy smoke is spreading in Dayton as crews work to put out a vacant house fire on Forest Avenue in Dayton Tuesday morning.
The fire is near Kettering Health and the intersection of West Helena Street and Forest Avenue.
Forest Avenue is currently closed at West Helena Street so that crews can work to put the fire out.

Heavy smoke can be seen from Interstate 75 near Route 4 because of the fire.
Montgomery County dispatchers say the structure on fire is a boarded up vacant home.
Initial reports indicate there were multiple fires within the structure.
We have a crew on scene and are working to learn the cause of this fire.
