Greene County BOE notifying residents about postcards printed with incorrect election date

GREENE COUNTY — The Greene County Board of Elections wants to make sure residents double check their poll location change cards.

The board said the date is wrong on cards sent to people who voted at the Nutter Center last year.

The cards have the election date listed as Wednesday, November 3, but it should say Tuesday, November 2.

Anyone who has received a postcard in the mail from the Greene County BOE office with poll change information, the correct date of the election is Tuesday November 2, 2021.

“It was just last year’s date and it was inadvertent and we do apologize for the confusion. We just unfortunately didn’t catch it until they went out in the mail,” said Lynn McCoy, Deputy Director, Greene Co. Board of Elections.

McCoy told News Center 7 there were nearly 9-thousand cards misprinted.
