The Clark County Combined Health District has released the latest inspection reports for restaurants, public swimming pools and campgrounds.
The reports are easily accessible at the health district's website http://www.healthspace.com/clients/ohio/clark/web.nsf.
County health workers say this information online holds food establishments more accountable for their sanitation and will make consumers more aware of health issues at their favorite restaurants.
Officials said consumers rarely came into the health district office to check an inspection report. By publishing the reports on the Internet, it will be much easier for people to check in on violations.
In the almost two years since sanitarians have discussed the online records with local restaurants, the health district said some establishments have "stepped up their game" to make sure they look good in the public eye and keep their patrons safe.
WHIO Reporter Allison Wichie is working on a full report for this evening's newscast.
