Franklin woman accused of causing death of man’s Chihuahua

DAYTON — A 22-year-old Franklin woman is facing a felony charge after she was accused of causing injuries to a man's dog, which caused the dog's death, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.

Laura Bailey is charged with cruelty to a companion animal, records show.

The alleged incident happened Mar. 31 in the first block of Baltimore Street in Dayton, when Bailey was said to have injured the man's Chihuahua named "Angel", prosecutors said. However, details about how "Angel" was injured were not immediately available.

Bailey is set for arraignment on Oct. 18.
