Fourth victim, 1-year-old boy, dies days after German Twp. crash

GERMAN TWP. — A fourth person has died from their injuries after a crash on state Route 4 last week that killed three women.

Andrew Johnson Jr., 1, died Tuesday night at Dayton Children’s Hospital after being injured in the crash Friday, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger. Johnson was the son of Ashley Mance, 26, who was one of the three victims who died in the April 30 crash.

The crash also killed Katie Roberts, 31, and her mother Rebecca Roberts, 61.

Mance’s other child, 7-year-old Averly Johnson, was taken to Dayton Children’s after Friday’s crash and was last listed in critical condition.

A man was also injured in the crash.

German Twp. police are continuing to look for a third vehicle, described as a black or dark colored vehicle, that was involved in the crash and fled the scene.

Police were able to make contact with the driver of a car that was captured on a neighbor’s Ring doorbell immediately following the crash, but the driver has been ruled out as a suspect.
