According to the plans, the first phase would consist of a 200 foot by 250 foot dome called Flyght Central and an 80 foot by 125 foot office building.

A future phase would also include an indoor, outdoor aquatic area, outdoor sand volleyball, football, soccer, basketball, baseball and softball fields.

“The remaining outdoor areas: aquatic, football/soccer, as well as baseball and softball, would be developed in the later dates as the Academy gains footprint and becomes successful to meet the new demands,” Trotwood City Planning and Development Director Jun-Han Chen said.

The approximately 40-acre site would be located between Denlinger Road and State Route 49 north of Turner Road.

The Flyght Academy is a global athletic sports campus and community center that provides physical, mental and spiritual development programs for both youth and adults, the application read.

The group projects within three to five years that more than 12,000 youth athletes will be engaged in youth sports at the complex and it could bringing 100,000 visitors through various hospitality programs.

Organizers project the facility will bring in millions of dollars of revenue over multiple years.
