Forecast for U.S. Air Force Marathon events

Events surrounding the 19th annual United States Air Force Marathon begin Friday night with the 5K behind Wright State University’s Nutter Center, followed by the 10K, marathon and half marathon Saturday at WPAFB in Fairborn.

Race Weekend Weather Forecast:

  • Friday should stay dry for 5K race
  • Saturday showers possible in the morning, increasing chance thru afternoon

5K Race, Bib Pickup and Sports & Fitness Expo:

  • 5K race at Setzer Pavillion near Nutter Center
  • Opening Ceremony at 6:15 p.m —race 6:30 p.m.
  • Must pick up bib for 5K by 6 p.m. Friday
  • No pets, coolers, glass or alcohol allowed

Sports & Fitness Expo:

  • Expo free, open to public
  • Open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday
  • Marathon participant Bib Pick-Up at Expo, not available Saturday

USAF Marathon

  • Entry at 3 gates at 8:30 a.m. Saturday
  • Arrive 1.5 to 2 hours early for your scheduled race start
  • No runner drop off at museum
  • RTA Shuttle buses begin at 4:30 a.m. from WSU Nutter Center to start line area at museum
  • Shuttle will run every 5 minutes, thru 6:30 a.m.
  • Meet runners at finish line or pick up runners at Nutter Center after 9:30 a.m.
  • RUNNERS ONLY can use shuttles from finish line back to Nutter Center
