Flames destroy home in Beavercreek

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

UPDATE @ 5:45 p.m.: Flames have destroyed a home in the 3100 block of Bonnie Villa Lane and the cause is under investigation.

Beavercreek Fire Deputy Chief Scott Dorsten said his investigator thinks the fire started in the attached garage where a lawn mower was kept. The fire made its way to the attic and spread to the rest of the house.

One person inside the house made it out safely. Dorsten said neighbors reported hearing what they think was an explosion prior to seeing flames.

Crews from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Fairborn also responded to knock down the fire.
