Five Rivers Metroparks announced Tuesday that they are expecting to reopen its park amenities this spring.
These changes are in response to revised guidelines from Gov. DeWine and Public Health Dayton and Montgomery County.
Park officials said that the tree tower at Cox Arboretum MetroPark is now open, and swings and benches have been returned.
Shelter reservations for dates on Sunday, April 18th and later are also now being accepted with reduced capacity of 30 percent or 10 people. Picnic tables will be returned to shelters, as well.
Visitors centers at Carriage Hill MetroPark Riding Center and Cox Arboretum MetroPark will reopen on the weekends beginning Saturday, May 8th according to park officials.
The summer fitness series at RiverScape MetroPark is expected to return in-person this summer at a reduced capacity.
Visitors are still urged to follow CDC guidelines while at the parks.
