MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Five Rivers MetroParks is giving people a chance to grow their own food.
The park system is renting seasonal 800-square-foot “garden plots” at Possum Creek and Wegerzyn Gardens.
Standard plots cost $20 per year. They grow from April through October, according to the park system’s website.

Wegerzyn Gardens will also offer plots that grow year-round for $40.
Gardeners will be responsible for watering, weeding, pest control and harvesting.
Registration for a garden plot is open until May 1.
