Dayton Fire were dispatched near the intersection of Drummer Avenue and McLain Street at around 2:35 a.m. on reports of a structure fire, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said.

When firefighters arrived, they found a “two-story” house with a “wood frame” on fire, responding crews said over emergency scanners. The interior of the house was “involved” from the inside where the fire “quickly extended to the second floor.”

Crews took approximately an hour and a half to two hours to extinguish the flames.

There were no reported injuries, dispatch informed. However, they did not know if the house was vacant at the time of the fire.

Dayton Fire led the investigation into the incident.
