Woman killed in shooting now identified

DAYTON — A 27-year-old woman is dead after a shooting at a Dayton house and police are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the incident, according to investigators.

Officers and medics were called to the 300 block of Pleasant Avenue after 5 p.m. Monday after the shooting was reported.

Anjelica Ramey, 27, of Dayton, was shot in the chest and homicide detectives are investigating, according to Lt. Steve Bauer with the Dayton Police Department.

The initial report stated that this was an accidental shooting, but investigators are still unsure if there is a suspect in connection to the incident.
