News Center 7′s Brandon Lewis reports multiple police departments will have extra patrols out tonight.

Deputies and officers have a message, “Don’t drink and drive.”

Some law enforcement agencies posted on social media this weekend.

“One team wins, but everyone wins if you have a designated driver,” Kettering Police Department wrote on social media. “Fans don’t let fans drive drunk.”

Lewis reports the Montgomery County Combined Agency O-V-I Task Force says extra patrols will be out on the roads tonight looking for impaired drivers.

Deputies and officers advise you to have a plan to get home safely if you are watching the game away from your home.

Kettering Police is also stepping up patrols and told Lewis what they will be looking for.

“We’re trained in law enforcement to pick up on certain driving behaviors that kind of go hand in hand with impaired driving,” said Sgt. Tyler Johnson, Kettering Police Public Information Office. “(This includes) kind of slow responses, unable to maintain lanes, those types of behaviors and making those stops and work your investigation from there.”

Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are also available so you can get home tonight.

Johnson says there is no excuse to be driving impaired.
