CELINA — Parker Wynk’s family provided an update on their son after he suffered a serious injury on Friday night.

Bulldogs Friday Night Lights, made up of Celina High School Football parents, posted an update from Parker’s family on social media.
“Praise God, Parker has been able to move his legs today and has more feeling in many parts of his body. At this point, it’s still a tingling feeling when touched as opposed to the typical feeling, but he is improving all the time!
“God is GOOD all the time.”
Celina High School football senior quarterback Parker Wynk was injured while trying to recover a fumble in Friday’s season opener against St. Henry’s, as previously reported.
He collided with another player and his neck snapped backward.

Parker’s mother, Sierra, told News Center 7’s Kylie Bridgeman on Saturday that the family is asking for prayers. Sierra also said that Parker was alert, talking, and his mobility continues to improve.
The Celina First Church held a prayer service on Saturday for Parker Wynk.
Parker’s teammates visited him at the hospital.
Celina beat St. Henry, 38-35 on Friday night.
