Fairborn Fire offer CPR and first aid classes through 2023

FAIRBORN — The Fairborn Fire Department will offer CPR and first aid classes to the public.

After Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin experienced a cardiac arrest, Fairborn Fire wanted to notify the public of available CPR and first aid courses in the event that the skills are required in an emergency.

The CPR and first aid classes will teach anyone with or without prior experience. And at the end of the course, all participants can receive a certification or a recertification.

The course is a one-day, three-hour long class.

CPR classes will be held at 9 a.m. at Fire Station 2 on Commerce Center Boulevard during the following dates:

  • January 21
  • March 18
  • May 20
  • July 15
  • September 16
  • November 18

First aid classes will also be held at 9 a.m. at Fire Station 2 on Commerce Center Boulevard during the following dates:

  • February 18
  • August 19

Classes are open to people 12 years and older.

A minimum of five and a maximum of 20 people will be in each class.
