2 ejected, 3 injured in Shelby County crash

Three people were injured, including two people who were ejected from their vehicle in a crash north of Russia in Shelby County Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Miller and Redmond roads around 9:20 a.m. on reports of a two-vehicle crash.

A pickup truck ran the stop sign at the intersection and was hit on the driver side by a sedan, according to deputies.

The occupants of the pickup truck, who deputies said were likely teenagers, were both ejected from the truck. 

Both occupants of the truck and the driver of the car were transported to Wilson Health with injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
