DAYTON — Declare and the Miami Valley Leadership Foundation partnered to bring together a creative way to celebrate “Christmas-after-Christmas.”
Sunday evening at the Dixie-Twin Drive-In, “Hope 4 the Holidays” was presented so that families, friends, and the community could come together to celebrate Christmas safely in their cars.
Over 20 churches and multiple organizations came together to record a family-friendly service that over 150 cars full of people showed up to watch.
After the pre-recorded service, the holiday movie “The Star” was also presented.
According to the Executive Director of Declare, Caleb Ingram, the event was created in hopes of lifting up peoples’ spirits during a difficult time.
“Planning for Hope 4 the Holidays has been one of my highlights of 2020. In the midst of a challenging year, I’m reminded of the beauty of unity and community and that we still have HOPE,” Ingram said.
Declare has held many other events uniting thousands across the Greater Dayton region since 2014.
