Dayton police searching for suspects in shooting that leaves 1 man in serious condition

DAYTON — Dayton police are looking for suspects in a shooting Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Boyer Street that left a man in serious, but stable condition.

Police were dispatched there about 4:!5 p.m. on a reported shooting with at least one victim, a Dayton police lieutenant tells News Center 7′s Brandon Lewis. That victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Several police vehicles blocked off an area around Boyer Street, which includes South Euclid and Home Avenues, South Laurence Dunbar Street and Leroy Streets. A K-9 unit was on scene as well.

Part of the investigation is focused on a gray SUV that was parked on Boyer Street. Investigators had it towed as evidence in the shooting, Lewis said the lieutenant told him.
