Riverside man killed in crash on West Third Street

DAYTON — A 23-year-old Riverside man was killed in a crash on West Third Street near South Woodward Avenue.

Kyle R. Davis, 27, died at the scene of the crash, according to police.

Davis was driving east on Third Street when he crossed the center lane and crashed head-on into a van, a crash report read.

The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive, officers said.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. and the road was shut down for about two hours while the investigation happened.

Police believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
