CRUISER CAM: Dayton officer involved in head-on crash on Germantown Street

DAYTON — A Dayton police officer suffered minor injuries after being involved in a head-on crash last week on Germantown Street, according to a Dayton crash report.

According to the report, the officer was driving with his emergency lights activated when another car tried to make a left turn onto Danner Avenue, hitting him head on.

New cruiser camera video obtained through a public records request shows the officer try to avoid the crash.

The driver of the other car and her passenger were believed to have serious injuries in the crash.

The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. Sept. 24.

According to the report, no one has been cited at this time.
