UPDATE: Fire at vacant house in Xenia under investigation

XENIA TWP. — UPDATE: @ 10:28 p.m.:  The cause of the fire at 47 Lincoln Street, which was vacant, is under investigation, a Xenia Twp. fire official said.

There are no injures to firefighters sent to single-family structure. Flames did spread to a detached structure, the fire official said.

Crews did shut down traffic to Lincoln Street and part of East Main Street for a time because of the fire.

The fire official said it was too early to estimate the dollar amount of damage to the buildings.

INITIAL REPORT: Crews are on scene of a house fire at 47 Lincoln Street in Xenia.

Firefighters were dispatched about 8:45 p.m. on a report of a possible fire where a witness said the rear of the house was in flames.

We have not heard any reports of injury, but we are hearing a neighboring house could catch fire as well.
