MIAMISBURG — UPDATE @ 9:20 p.m.
One person was taken to the hospital tonight as a precaution following a kitchen fire at a bi-level home.
Two pets were rescued and are OK, a Miami Valley Fire District official said.

The fire broke out after a resident walked away from the stove while cooking. The home was undergoing some renovation work, which helped the fire spread, the official said.
FIRST REPORT
Crews were called to a report of a Thanksgiving night house fire.
A fire broke out around 8:35 p.m. in the 700 block of Golden Arrow Court in Miamisburg.
According to initial reports, the fire was in the attic, with flames bursting through the roof when crews arrived. There were no reports of injuries.
