KETTERING — The woman killed in a Kettering house fire has been identified.

On Dec. 7, Kettering firefighters responded around to the 2600 block of E. Dorothy Lane on reports of a fire.
Firefighters said they were met with hoarding-type conditions and the front door was blocked.

Crews went through the back door and found the single occupant of the home, identified by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office as Evone Bone, who they took to a local hospital.
Bone died from her injuries at the hospital.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation but fire officials said it was centered around a space heater and electrical wiring.
