UPDATE: Preble County man identified as victim of deadly crash Monday evening

PREBLE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 12:50 p.m.:

A West Alexandria man has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash in Preble County Monday evening, according to Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson.

Kenneth A. Burnett, 47, was identified as the victim killed in the crash on Lexington Road near Quinn Road Monday evening, Simpson said in a media release Tuesday.

Burnett was the only occupant of a pickup truck involved in the crash around 4:45 p.m. A preliminary investigation found Burnett was traveling west on Lexington Road when the truck went off the left side of the roadway, hit several trees, and came to rest in a creek, Simpson said.

Burnett was pronounced dead at the scene.

Potential factors in the crash were not released and are still under investigation, Simpson said.
