Community Blood Center offering free WinterFest tickets or Kroger gift cards to donors

DAYTON — To boost blood donations for the upcoming holiday season, the Dayton Community Blood Center is offering a reward to donors.

Everyone who registers to donate Friday, Nov. 18 or Saturday, Nov. 19 will receive a free ticket to Kings Island’s WinterFest or a Kroger $10 gift card.

Registered donors also get a navy knit Blood Donor Beanie

CBC said the Thanksgiving period is a difficult time for them as they are closed for the holiday and are unable to schedule many blood drives.

The center is especially low in Type O Negative blood.

CBC will also offer everyone who registers to donate Nov. 21-26 at any CBC mobile blood drive or the Dayton CBC Donation Center a free $10 Kroger gift card.
