Walking inside connects through who visit with other who have come before.
The venue features huge floor-to-ceiling windows, large wooden beams and rafters, and classic chandelier lighting are focal points, along with roomy bridal and groom suites.
“We were looking for something a little different in the Dayton area. So the inspiration came from just the nature and the beauty of the property,” Randall Bishop, the venue’s administrator, said. “The inspiration was kind of a conservatory or a greenhouse type. We wanted to have lots of glass so that you felt like you were outdoors.”
Combining that feeling with the upgrades inside the existing Gerber house and barn. You have a full-service site that preserves the history of the property while allowing Benham’s Grove to accommodate almost every need.
“The biggest part of the property is this was a family home for 105 years. Keeping that home atmosphere was very important, especially on the historic side of the property,” Bishop said. “But we want to be here to help people celebrate their life moments. And we’re also a community gathering space.”
After a $10 Million Construction and facelift, Benham’s Grove is once again open for business.
The City of Centerville already had community events scheduled for the space, and renting the property for weddings and events is already underway.
