CEDARVILLE — Cedarville University is set to host their fourth annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Saturday.

Cedarville residents and university communities are welcome to attend the free event on November 19th at 8 p.m. The ceremony will take place on Chick-fil-A’s patio on Cedarville University’s campus.

The Christmas tree will be at a staggering height of 32 feet and decorated with over 1,000 ornaments.
Student-volunteers assisted campus grounds and maintenance with decorating and setting up the tree, a spokesperson Cedarville University stated in a press release.
The celebration will include music from HeartSong members and the traditional Christmas story biblical reading, in addition to ceremonial lighting.
Pioneer Food Services will provide complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.

“The tree lighting tradition is a special moment for the community at Cedarville, especially for students,” the spokesperson said.
