1 flown, 2 transported to hospitals after crash in Bethel Twp.

BETHEL TWP. — A medical helicopter has been called to respond to a three-car crash in Miami County Saturday afternoon.

Miami County dispatch confirmed the accident happened in the area of U.S 40 and Ohio 201 in Bethel Township.

Dispatch said CareFlight was called to the scene. One person was flown from the scene to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two other people were transported from the scene to Upper Valley Medical Center. Their injuries were described as non-life threatening.

An initial investigation revealed that the accident was caused by a car running a yellow light while heading eastbound on U.S. 40.

The crash is under investigation.
