Car crashes into a Troy home

TROY — Crews responded to a vehicle hitting a residential house late Friday evening.

Troy Police and Fire were dispatched to a residential home in the 1000 block of Barrington Drive at around 10 p.m., according to initial reports.

News Center 7 confirmed the reports after receiving footage of responders attempting to remove a red car from a ditch adjacent to the house.

Photos show where the car seemingly drove off the road with dirt-covered tire tracks on the asphalt and divets in the grassy road verge. They also show a tow truck at the scene, pulling and removing the car from the hole.

It is unknown whether the driver or anyone in the residence suffered injuries from the crash.

It is also unknown why the driver veered off the road and crashed into a residential home. An estimate of the damages have not yet been released.
