BUTLER TWP. — The Butler Township Fire Department will conduct fire hydrant testing from Aug. 22 through Sept. 9.
Fire crews will be in various locations throughout the township.
Residents may notice discoloration to their water, but water will remain safe to consume. The fire department advises running water for several minutes if there is discoloration, and do so prior to cooking, doing laundry and other home activities.
Residents are asked to contact the fire department if they notice a fire hydrant leaking or have other concerns.
