VIDEO: Lanes blocked for hours in both directions of I-75 in Harrison Twp. after dump truck crash

HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County — A dump truck hauling gravel that crashed into the median on I-75 near Wagner Ford Road impacted traffic in both directions for hours on Thursday.

The crash blocked the left and center lanes in both the northbound and southbound lanes, according to Ohio Department of Transportation cameras. Lanes have since reopened.

The crash was reported just before noon. Backups on the northbound side of the highway are to U.S. 35 and the southbound lanes are backed up to I-70.

ODOT cameras show the vehicle is flipped over the median wall and emergency dispatch traffic indicated ODOT is being notified of possible repairs needed to the median wall. Video obtained from ODOT through a public records request showed the crash happen as the dump truck lost control hitting the median way and overturning.

No serious injuries were reported in the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. What caused the driver to crash is still under investigation, the patrol said.
