Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy reviews second Dayton-area pizza restaurant; Here’s what he thought

DAYTON — Founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, stopped by another popular Dayton-area restaurant this week for a pizza review.

As part of Portnoy’s ‘One Bite Pizza Reviews’ series, he stopped by Old Scratch Pizza and Beer at 812 S. Patterson Blvd.

Wednesday, he put out a video reviewing the local pizza place’s plane cheese pizza named after the owner’s son, Elliot.

Whenever I say, ‘hey, I’m going to Dayton, hey I’m going to Columbus,’ people are like ‘oh you can’t find good pizza there,” he said. “I’ve said this a thousand times- you can find good pizza anywhere, and this is very good pizza!”

“Old Scratch be proud of yourself. Dayton be proud of yourself,” he said as eats a piece. “I’ve gone to two places. I would go back to both happily.”

Old Scratch Pizza and Beer received an overall score of 7.7/10.
