Americana Festival planning to return in Centerville this summer

CENTERVILLE — The Americana Festival in downtown Centerville is planning to return this summer.

“With Governor DeWine’s announcement that he will remove COVID-related health guidelines once the State reaches 50 cases per 100,000 people, the recent positive trends in the number of COVID-19 cases, and the COVID-19 vaccine rolling out to more the country’s population, we have made the decision to begin preparation for this year’s festival,” the festival’s website said.

The committees planning the events are already working on plans for how this year’s festival will work.

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring our community together again for a wonderful festival this year,” organizers said.

The festival will be held on July 5.

Specific details about what events will occur around the festival, including the traditional fireworks, were not immediately available.
