MADISON TWP., OHIO — Police received an unusual call Thursday in Madison Twp. — an alligator was in someone’s basement.

Police found the 25-year-old reptile in the basement of a house near Columbus.

Groveport Police say the owner didn't have a valid exotic animal permit.

Police and state wildlife officials helped police remove the alligator. It’s now at an animal sanctuary in South Carolina.
