Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway held its first races tonight, but not its first horse-racing bets.
No wagering was permitted at the inaugural event at 777 Hollywood Blvd., at the corner of Needmore and Wager Ford roads.
But the 11 races were sanctioned and the results will go on the horses' records, according to the press release.
The official Grand Opening at the racino is set for Friday. Ceremonies begin at 5:45 p.m. and the first race is set to go at 6:35 p.m., according to the release.
