2 taken to hospital by medical helicopter after motorcycle crash in Darke Co.

DARKE COUNTY — Two people were taken to the hospital by medical helicopter after a motorcycle crash in Darke County Wednesday night.

Crews were called to the intersection of Arcanum Ithaca Road and Grubbs Rex Road at 7:15 p.m. to reports of a motorcycle hitting a car.

A car driven by James Warner, 30, of West Milton was traveling West on Grubbs Rex Road when Warner failed to yield at the intersection of Arcanum Ithaca traveling into the path of a motorcycle, according to Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

The motorcycle was driven by Graham Guttadore, 32, of Arcanum.

Guttadore and his passenger Lauren Mowen, 33, of Eaton were thrown from the motorcycle.

Guttadore and Mowen were treated at the scene by medics and then taken to Miami Valley Hospital by medical helicopter for further treatment.

Warner and a juvenile passenger were treated by medics and released at the scene.

Guttadore and Mowen were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office
