2 men dead following crash in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY — Two men are dead following a crash in Butler County Saturday afternoon.

Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the intersection of State Route 63 and Yankee Road, according to an OSHP spokesperson.

Monroe Police officers provide mutual aide.

A 2015 Cadillac Escalade was driving eastbound on State Route 63 when it struck a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox attempting to turn west onto State Route 63, a spokesperson said.

Jacob Baker, 38 of Monroe, drove the Chevrolet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Medics transported Charles Taylor Jr., 65 of Middletown, a passenger in the Chevrolet to Atrium Medical Center where he passed away.

The driver of the Cadillac was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, dispatchers told News Center 7.

The crash remains under investigation.
