96-year-old Warren County man killed in Carlisle crash

CARLISLE — A Carlisle man is dead after a crash Wednesday night.

G. Cole, 96, was identified as the driver killed in the crash that happened around 5 p.m. on Lower Carlisle Road, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

An initial investigation showed that Cole was heading west on Lower Carlisle Road in a 1996 Plymouth Voyager when he went across a railway crossing and hit the railroad gate crossing guard.

Cole died from his injuries on scene.

Troopers stated that he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash remians under the investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lebanon Post.
