Filming for Robert De Niro movie ‘Wise Guys’ to close major roadways in Greene, Warren counties

GREENE, WARREN — Filming for Robert De Niro’s new move “Wise Guys” is expected to temporarily close major roadways in both Greene and Warren counties.

The production company for the film requested permission to impart restrictions on U.S. 35 near Xenia Saturday Dec. 10, according to a spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Short-term full closures will be in place in either direction on U.S. 35 between exit 55 and exit 62 while film crews record segments for the movie, the spokesperson said.

The restrictions will begin at 8 a.m. and wrap up at 5 p.m. Closures will vary between short-term full closures and moving operations during those hours.

They also requested daytime closures of SR 123 in Warren County for filming.

Beginning Friday, Dec. 9, and then again the following Monday and Tuesday, SR 123 will be closed between US 22 and SR 132 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

On Wednesday and Thursday, December 14 and 15, the closure will be in place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During periods of closure, traffic will be detoured via US 22, SR 350 and SR 132.
