Dayton Fire Department to host ceremony for new EMT graduates at Sinclair

Dayton Fire Department (DFD) will be holding a formal graduation ceremony for their new Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) on Friday at Sinclair Community College’s Dayton campus, according to a public information officer with Dayton Fire Department.

The ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. on Nov. 18., in the Sinclair Conference Center located in building 12, room 172., the spokesperson said in a media release shared with News Center 7.

The 15 graduating EMT personnel completed a six-week training program to learn about DFD policies and procedures, patient care, safe operation of medical transport units and introduced them to special operations, the spokesperson said.

Beginning the week of Nov. 21., the new members will be assigned to medical transport units at fire stations throughout the City of Dayton, the spokesperson said.
